Shrewsbury – A popular tradition, the Lake Quinsigamond Boat Parade, will be held Saturday, Sept. 5 starting at 2 p.m.

The theme of this year’s parade is “Favorite Cartoon.” Participants are encouraged to dress themselves and their boats accordingly. Top boats will earn honors, bragging rights and gifts from USA Marine, Ski Chair, Shore Side Docks, Padvano’s Place or Madulka’s Ice Cream.

Boaters will meet at the north end of the lake near the Route 290 bridge at 1:30 p.m. The public is invited to watch and cheer on their favorite entries.

All boats must comply with the rules and regulations of the lake and a life vest must be supplied for every person on the boat. www.lqwa.org.
