Hudson – A relatively new fundraiser continued growing in its third year. Over 1,800 area residents supported the Hudson Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley when the organizations partnered Aug. 15 for the third annual Spirit of Hudson Food & Brewfest.
Guests from throughout the region mingled in four tents at the Avidia Bank parking lot on South Street, where they sampled food and desserts offered by 20 eateries from Hudson, Leominster, Marlborough, Northborough, Stow and Sudbury. Over 150 craft beers, malted beverages and ciders were available from 50 breweries. Adding to the ambience, DJ Bobby Begg returned to provide music. Also participating were WXLO 104.5-FM and the Rolling Stogies Mobile Cigar Store Humidor.
Once again serving on the event committee were Nanci Bishop, Robin Frank, Nick Pizzimento and Justin Provencher. The event’s platinum sponsors were Avidia Bank, Community Advocate, Hometown Bank and New England Clean Energy. Proceeds go to scholarships and community programs of the two clubs.
