Grafton TV open house kicks off fall production course

G GCTV TV open house rsGrafton – Grafton Community Television (GCTV) and Charter Communications will host an open house and tour of the town’s cable public access TV facilities Monday, Aug. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. The open house also serves as an introduction to the fall 2015 Television Production Course which begins Monday, Sept. 21, and runs for nine weeks. The open house and production course are held at the Grafton Community Television studios, 296 Providence Road in South Grafton.

The GCTV television production course is available at no charge to Grafton residents, town employees and local business owners who are 18 years of age or older, regardless of whether or not they are cable television subscribers. The course is held Monday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m.

Class size will be limited to eight students, and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Course capacity may be reached prior to the open house, so interested candidates are urged to call GCTV for availability.

Only eligible, registered students will be allowed to participate in classes and handle equipment. Completion of the class certifies participants as GCTV producers with authorization to produce television shows and air them on GCTV.
