Westborough – Armand J. Martin, 97, of Westborough, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham. He was the husband of the late Eva M. (Trapp) Martin.

Born in Lille, Maine, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Theriault) Martin. He attended MIT and received an Associate’s Degree from Northeastern University.

Armand worked for the Boston Navy Yard on ship radar and equipment and Radio Transmission. In later years, he was employed as an electrical engineer for Sylvania and then Digital Corporation, retiring many years ago.

He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and had been a resident of Westborough since 1993.

Armand is survived by one daughter, Judy Wheaton of Watertown; three sisters, Mercedes Pelletier of Salisbury, Jeanne Miller of Plainville, and Germaine Malhoit of Marlborough; and three grandchildren, Kimberly Halloran, Page Wheaton, and Chad Wheaton and his wife Olivia. He was the father of the late Joanne Martin.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Aug. 27, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 9-10 a.m. at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Luke the Evangelist Church Memorial Fund, 70 West Main St., Westborough, MA 01581.
