Obit William MyersonNorthborough – William Myerson, 72, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Dorothy E.(Biermann); two children, Timothy Myerson and his wife Nicole of Northborough; Kristy Donovan and her husband David of Westborough; four grandchildren, Kayleigh, Alexa, David and Alex; and three sisters, Lizzy Garlick and Anne Wagner of Pennsylvania and Lucy Polk of Minnesota.

Mr. Myerson was born in Utriecht, Netherlands, the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Dietrich) Myerson, immigrating with his family to Pennsylvania at age 12.

Upon earning his degree at Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland, Ohio, he was employed as a software engineer at Univac Corporation, Honeywell Corporation, and a partner at Network Defenders, covering much of Middlesex Country. He was the manager at Cognizant Technologies prior to retiring in 2013.

Mr. Myerson was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, touring hundreds of thousands of miles of countryside. He and his wife visited many wineries in the New York and New England regions, and looked forward to taking cruises to various ports around the world.

In addition, Mr. Myerson enjoyed playing tennis with his children and grandchildren, taking walks and communicating through his Ham radio. He cared deeply for his pets.

In keeping with Mr. Myerson’s wishes, there are no funeral services planned. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough is assisting Mr. Myerson’s family with arrangements.
