Marlborough vocalist to perform with Aardvark Jazz Orchestra

    Marlborough – Marlborough resident Grace Hughes, vocalist with the Aardvark Jazz Orchestra, will perform in the band’s show of Jazz Americana Thursday, Oct. 8, at Scullers Jazz Club in Boston, kicking off Aardvark’s 43rd season and celebrating the band’s latest CD, “Deep River.” The club is located at Doubletree Guest Suites, 400 Soldiers Field Road.     Founded in 1973, the Aardvark Jazz Orchestra is one of the longest-running large jazz ensembles in the world. The band is known for its wide-ranging programs drawing on jazz, blues, folk, popular and concert traditions. www.aardvarkjazz.com.
