Westborough – Nancy E. Lortz, 72, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at the Kindred Transitional and Healthcare Center in Westborough after a long illness.

     Born in Concord, she was the loving daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Newlove) Lortz. She was educated in Acton-Boxboro Schools and was a graduate of Vermont College.

     Nancy worked as an office manager for the Dental Office of Dr. Donald Desrosiers prior to her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had been a resident of Westborough since 1975.

     Nancy was the loving mother of two children she leaves behind, Pamela Hamilton and her husband Lionel of Westborough, along with their daughters Melinda and Selena, to whom Nancy was a devoted grandmother; and Daniel Hemberger and his wife Jennifer and two sons in California. She is survived by her two brothers, Bradley Lortz and his wife Brenda of Florida and David Lortz and his wife Patricia of Tobyhanna, Pa., as well as several nieces and nephews.

     Nancy loved to be surrounded by her many lifelong friends and found great joy in her family and in her community in Westborough.

     A memorial service will be held Monday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m., in the First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main St., Westborough. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery will be private. There are no calling hours.

     In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Kindred of Westborough Resident Fund, 8 Colonial Dr., Westborough, MA 01581.
