Region – The RTN GoodWorks Foundation is holding a 50/50 raffle for RTN Federal Credit Union members, select employer groups, community residents and staff. Tickets may be purchased at credit union branches, and are $5 for one and $20 for five. The raffle runs through Saturday, Nov. 21. The proceeds will be split into two halves – half to help benefit the foundation and half to be enjoyed by a lucky winner.

RTN established the foundation to help the credit union support and expand its financial literacy and community involvement activities. RTN GoodWorks Foundation is funded through fundraising events, appeals to membership, and community partners.

“This raffle is a fun way to get members involved in raising funds for the foundation,” said Peter Cole, chair of the Board of RTN GoodWorks Foundation and quality review specialist, Quality & Patient Safety at Lawrence General Hospital. Cole also serves on the Credit Union’s Board of Directors. “We’re excited to undertake more projects to support our surrounding communities. We look forward to increasing access to financial education and promoting life-long financial wellbeing.”

Earlier this year, the foundation was a gold sponsor of RTN’s Walk Home 2015 5K Walk for the Homeless. This fall, the foundation sponsored two financial seminars – “Money Smart,” and “Basics of Money Management for Teens.”
