Region – Verizon Wireless, a company committed to the prevention of domestic violence, recently presented $2,500 to the YWCA of Central Massachusetts. Verizon supports survivors and increases awareness of this issue through its HopeLine phone recycling program. The donated funds will be used to support the organization’s “Brighter Tomorrow’s Economic Empowerment” program. The check was presented by Verizon Wireless employees after spending the day painting, cleaning, doing yard work and other projects at one of the YWCA’s emergency shelters for individuals and families affected by domestic violence.
