Southborough – James B. Loftus, 63, of Southborough, passed away Tuesday, Nov.17, 2015, after battling a long illness. He was the husband of Martha (Sullivan) Loftus for over 30 years.

Born and raised in Holyoke, he remained devoted to the city and returned annually to enjoy the St. Patrick’s Day parade, his favorite event of the year. After graduating with a B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross of Worcester and a M.B.A. from Babson in Wellesley, Jim worked for Polaroid for most of his adult life.

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his children, Matthew and his wife Marina of Devon, Pa.; Christine of Denver, Colo. and Brendan of Boston; a granddaughter, Zoe Isabel; a sister, Helen Perri of Springfield; and a brother, Steve Loftus of Holyoke.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, from 8:30-10:30 a.m., at Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. (Route 30), Southborough. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 26 Highland St. Burial will be in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
