Northborough – Police Chief Mark Leahy released this statement this morning:

Last evening (Tuesday, 12/1) between 5:20 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., three cars were broken into in the parking lot at 318 Main Street (Route 20). This is a multi-unit commercial building that houses (among others) the Tavern in the Square Restaurant. All three cars had windows smashed to gain access. Taken were two laptop computers, two iPads, sunglasses, a backpack and two work bags. Westborough has experienced some car burglaries along Route 9, too. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE POSSESSIONS VISIBLE INSIDE YOUR CAR! Secure them in your trunk, use a cargo cover in SUVs or take the items with you. ‘Tis the season for thieves, too…..sadly.

If you have any information about these incidents or may have seen something suspicious, please give us a call at 508-393-1515. Thank you, and be safe!
