Westborough holiday houses on tour Dec. 12

Westborough – Community residents are invited to attend the very popular and annual Holiday House Tour sponsored by the Westborough Women’s Club Saturday, Dec. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. Tour-goers will enjoy viewing five unique Westborough homes.

To begin the tour, holiday refreshments as well as tickets will be available from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church on West Main Street. Tickets are $20 per person. Please no children or high heels. Pre-ticket sale is available by calling Kathy Wilfert at 508-654-3762 or by email at [email protected].

Co-chairpersons for the event, Elaine Gallo and Judy Hall, are excited about the homes they have arranged for this year’s tour. They include: a gracious Cape with a front porch perfect for watching the sunset, situated on land from a once family farm with stone walls remaining; a traditional hip-roofed Colonial with extensive renovations designed to provide open and more highly usable space; an antique Victorian – late Greek Revival with Stick Style influence, built in the late 1800s; an extensively renovated home on a quiet cul de sac with close proximity to a pond for winter ice skating and lovely summer walks; and a contemporary colonial with a two-story open foyer home designed by its owners on a little piece of earthly paradise surrounded by conservation lands.

The Westborough Women’s Club has sponsored this annual fundraiser for over 20 years. The club has regularly supported the community for 99 years through events, programs, scholarships and annual donations to Veterans, Inc., Abby’s House, Westborough Food Pantry and others. Membership in the Women’s Club is open to all women. For membership or club information, contact Kathie at 508-366-0902.
