Westborough – Shivani Allada, a student at Sarah W. Gibbons Middle School, was recently awarded first prize in the Westborough Lions Club “Share Peace” poster contest. Shivani was honored at the Lions Nov. 18 meeting.
Each poster was judged on originality, artistic merit, and expression of the theme: Share Peace. The contest was open to Westborough students ages 11-13. The two runners-up were Kristine Lee and Mindy Zheng.
he contest is a multilevel, Lions Club International competition starting with the local community, and advancing to district and international levels. Entries were solicited from local schools, as well as local Boy and Girl Scout troops.
