Obit Louis P. MieleHudson – Louis P. Miele, 96, of Hudson, formerly of Waltham and Marlborough, passed away with his loving family at his side Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at the Concord Healthcare Center in Concord. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to the late Dorothy M. (Sarnie) Miele, who died in 2005.

Louis was born and raised in Roslindale, son of the late Raymond and Asunta (Simione) Miele. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. Louis was a proud Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy until being honorably discharged in 1946.

Louis had many interests throughout his life, including dancing, woodworking, becoming an accomplished artist, performing and singing in several men’s choral groups, and always having fun. He especially looked forward to traveling and cherished his many trips throughout the world. His family was his passion and always held them as the most important part of his life. He loved spending time with, as only he could express it, “la famiglia,” especially later with his loving grandchildren and adoring great-grandchildren. His legacy is the wonderful memories to be cherished by all who knew him.

Louis is survived by his two sons, Paul Miele Sr. and his wife Dorene of Hudson and Stephen Miele Sr. and his wife Susan of Wellesley. He also leaves his four grandchildren, Gerry Miele and his wife Brianna of Hudson, Jennifer Dufromont and her husband Paul of Hudson, Dana Miele and his wife Nancy of Hudson, and Stephen Miele Jr. and his wife Maura of Wellesley; and his seven great-grandchildren, Marissa, Cameron, Sarah, Nicholas, Samuel, Hannah, and Luke, along with many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rose DelloCono, Nancy Conforti, Josephine Nucci, and Mary Miele, who died at a young age.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 19, at 1:00 p.m., in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Friday, Dec. 18, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
