Marlborough/Hudson – The newly renovated Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School cafeteria lost a bit if its luster, as one smiling face will be missing from now on. Christine “Chrissie” Achilles officially finished 35 years on Dec. 18, and is hanging up her apron. Although she will be honored in June at the annual All-Staff Retirees Celebration, she was delighted when so many staff members popped into the cafeteria to wish her well. To commemorate her special last day, Principal Mark Hollick drove her home in the Assabet Valley minibus, complete with her balloons. The cafeteria staff rode along to keep her celebration going as long as possible.
