Tips for when winter finally arrives

Marlborough – So far winter has been kind to us, but we should prepare for the hazards of winter that we know will eventually arrive. If you are prepared, you will be more likely to stay safe and healthy when temperatures start to fall. Some tips for preparing include inspecting and cleaning  fireplaces and chimneys and installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors (and testing batteries monthly.) It is very important to keep grills, camp stoves, and generators out of the house, basement and garage and to locate generators at least 20 feet from the house to minimize carbon monoxide poisoning.
