Shrewsbury – Michael F. Galli, of Shrewsbury, died after a long illness Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 in UMass Memorial Medical Center. He was 54.

Michael was born Dec. 25, 1961 in Worcester a son of the late Domenic F. and Patricia J (Bouvier) Galli. Raised and educated in Shrewsbury, he graduated from Shrewsbury High School.

Michael worked for Star Dry Goods for many years, as well as at the Glavin Center, both in Shrewsbury. He enjoyed the simple things in life, playing his guitar, riding a motorcycle, watching a Patriots or Red Sox game, but mostly spending time with his cats, Twinkie and Twinkles.

Michael is survived by his brother, James A. Galli of Manhattan, N.Y., and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and friends will honor and remember Michael’s life by gathering privately Saturday, Jan. 2 in Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors ~ The Sumner House, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery of Shrewsbury.
