Shrewsbury girls’ hockey shuts out Algonquin-Hudson

    Shrewsbury’s Delaney Couture brings the puck down the ice

    Marlborough – The Shrewsbury Pioneers girls’ ice hockey team defeated the Algonquin-Hudson Tomahawks by a score of 3-0, in a game played January 4 at the New England Sports Center.

    Shrewsbury freshman Delaney Couture scored two goals, one in the first period and one in the third, while junior Campbell Brown added a goal in the second period. Goalie Delia O’Connor earned the shutout with 18 saves.

    Shrewsbury’s season record improves to 3-1-2 while Algonquin-Hudson falls to 3-2-2.
