Marlborough – Expired, unused or unwanted prescriptions drugs often remain in the medicine cabinet for long periods of time. It is not recommended to dispose of the prescription drugs by flushing them into the water system or throwing them in the trash. Some communities have drug “take-back” programs but in Marlborough, there is a prescription drug collection bin located at the Marlborough Police Station, 355 Bolton St. Residents are encouraged to deposit any unused, unwanted, or expired prescription medications into the collection bin 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
For more information on the prescription drug collection bin, visit www.marlborough-ma.gov/Gen/MarlboroughMA_BoardHealth/index and click on the seasonal tab.
