Northborough – The Marguerite E. Peaslee Elementary School had a cast of 64 students perform “Lion King, Kids” Dec. 17 and 18. Peaslee’s first theater production included students from kindergarten through fifth grade who had attended afterschool rehearsals since early October.
The committed group of teachers who volunteered their time to work with the large cast included Music Director and Choreographer Allyn Phelps and stage directors Katrina Whalen and Ariella Greenspan.
The school’s art teacher Marcia Waldman organized student and parent volunteers to construct the set, and costume creation was led by parent Kristen Wixted. Zoe Devine, Grace Coderre and Makayla Kane were teen helpers.
