Dylan-Lien web-2481By Ryan Massad, Contributing Writer

    School: Algonquin Regional High School
    Sport: Basketball
    Coach: Brian Doherty
    Class: 2018
Stats: Dylan is currently averaging 10 points per game for the Tomahawks.

What are your earliest basketball-related memories?
“My earliest memories would be the games of ‘horse’ with my older brother.”

What encouraged you to get involved with basketball?
“Being around my uncles and my mom’s side of the family got me involved with the sport.”

What is it like being a sophomore on the Algonquin team as opposed to a freshman last season?
“I was nervous going into the tryout last year, but I did make the team. The differences from last year to this year are that the team gets along better and play better with each other.”

What is it like playing for Coach Doherty?
“Coach Doherty is a great guy off the court, and a very intense guy on the court.”

How has this season been going so far?
“This season has been tough so far, but we hope to finish it out strong.”

What do you consider to be the best part of your individual game?
“The best part of my game is my shooting.”

Have you started to consider any colleges yet, and would you like to play basketball at that level?
“I have not started considering colleges yet, but I would love to play at that level. Right now though, I’m just enjoying the process.”

What is your favorite class in school, and why?
“My favorite class is history because it is always interesting.”

Who are your favorite NBA team and player?
“My favorite team is the Boston Celtics, and my favorite player is Jimmy Butler of the Chicago Bulls.”
