Obit Alice Lorraine PeloquinMarborough – Alice “Lorraine” (LaBelle) Peloquin, 87, of Marlborough, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2016. Lorraine was the wife of the late Robert B. Peloquin and the daughter of late Alfred and Alice (Langtaine) LaBelle. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Paul R. Peloquin, who died in 2004, and by her brother, Joseph LaBelle.

Lorraine is survived her sons, Wayne R. Peloquin of Marlborough and Stephen Peloquin of Hudson; her daughter, Michele R. Peloquin of Marlborough; her grandchildren, who brought joy and love into her life, Michael Graham, Jeremy Peloquin, Cody Peloquin, Nicole Burdick, Paula Peloquin and Faith Peloquin; and her great- grandchildren, Bailey and Austin. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond LaBelle and his wife Terry of Belchertown; her nieces, Denise Brown and Claudette Martin; and her daughter-in-law, Laura Graham-Peloquin of Boston.

Lorraine, a daycare provider in Marlborough for many years, loved children and treated each as if they were her own. Although she retired in 1998, many of the children she cared for often returned to visit, even after 35 years.

She loved watching Michele and her friends march with The Dukes of Marlboro Drum and Bugle Corp. She always worried about Wayne and Paul car racing down at the A&M, and when Stephen, her baby, got his license she had to worry about him because he loved fast cars, too, just like their Dad!

Lorraine was an avid reader, loved playing cards every week with her friends, Ruthie, Bette and Nancy, and shopping and dining out with her friend, Theresa, and her cousin, Bette. She was a second mother to many of her children’s friends and was always there for her family, in good times as well as bad. She will truly be missed and forever in the hearts of those who loved her so dearly.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 4, from 5-7 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
