Third annual Miles for Matt to be held April 30

    Northborough – The third annual Miles for Matt 5k Walk/Run to honor the memory of Matt Bruce will be held Saturday, April 30.

    A resident of Northborough, Bruce lost his courageous battle to ALS at the age of 26 in March 2014.

    The race will be held at the Fannie E. Proctor School, 26 Jefferson Road, in Northborough. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.; race begins at 10 a.m.

    All proceeds from this event will benefit Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS.org). CCALS is a nonprofit organization based out of Falmouth that offers individualized support to individuals living with ALS, their family members and their caregivers.

    All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a t-shirt. Everyone will receive a medal upon crossing the finish line. Water, fruit and breakfast bars will be provided. Race timing and bib numbers are being provided through RaceWire.
