She leaves her son, Donald Wilson; brother Robert Pye of Dudley; granddaughter Monica Bushy of Maine; the love of her life, Joseph Atchue of Grafton; and her dear friend, Norma LaMarche, also of Grafton. Her daughter, Debra Hauk; brothers James, Richard and Dennis Pye; and sister Patricia Riendeau all predeceased her.
Betty was born Nov. 12, 1936 in Worcester, daughter of the late Antoinette (Keceda) and James D. Pye. Her roots were in Grafton, where she lived most of her life.
During the summer you were likely to find Betty cheering on her beloved Boston Red Sox, and many friends will miss her at her usual chair during Bingo games that she also loved.
All are invited to gather with Betty’s family and friends Saturday, Feb. 27, from 10111 a.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton, followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. She will then be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton.
All are welcome to honor Betty with memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 43 Nagog Park, Suite 110, Acton, MA 01720 or online at www.Cancer.org.
