Westborough – Leigh Emery and Bruce Tretter both won their bids for seats on the Westborough Board of Selectmen in the Town Election March 1.
According to Town Clerk Wendy Mickel, the unofficial counts as of early Wednesday morning, March 2, were 3,094 votes for Emery and 2,577 votes for Tretter. A third candidate in the race, Syed Hashmi had 1,764 votes.
Emery is a former selectman while Tretter has served on the school committee. Hashmi was trying for his first appointed position in town government.
