Grafton – This week Grafton residents received notice from the town Planning Board of a new conventional/flexible development to be built at Adams Road in Grafton on eastward into Westborough: Major Residential Special Permit and Preliminary Plan, by Steven Venincasa of Casa Builders and Developers Corporation, PO BOX 1205, Westborough MA 01581.
The preliminary plans show the 71- acre, 39-house R40 development to be located off 88 Adams Road, North Grafton, a wooded right-of-way off scenic Adams Road, abutted by two single family homes. The development will abut the back yards most of the homes on the even numbered side of Adams Road as well as create a large intersection where there is now only a winding dirt access road. The access has most recently been seen being used by hikers and, when in season, bow hunters. Neighbors report test holes have been dug recently, along with other unspecified activity on the lot abutted by wetlands and the Massachusetts Turnpike. Those interested can view the plans online at http://www.grafton-ma.gov/planning-department/pages/major-residential-special-permit-mrsp-2016-4-preliminary-plan-approval
The Grafton Planning Board will hold its first public hearing on this project on March 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Conference Room A at the Grafton Memorial Municipal Building, to consider an application for a special permit and site plan approval for “Grafton Ridings.” Comments to the board may be submitted in person or in writing to the Grafton Planning Board.
