Obit Yvonne F LerouxMarlborough – Yvonne F. (Beaudet) Leroux, 89, of Marlborough, formerly of Auburn, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Saint Vincent Hospital after a brief illness. She died as she lived, surrounded by her loving family to whom she dedicated her life.

Yvonne was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Felix and Marie (Boucher) Beaudet. Her husband and best friend of 62 years, George E. Leroux, died in 2010.

Her family was the center of her universe, and she treasured time spent with them.

She leaves her children, Martin “Marty” Leroux and his wife Sandra of Shrewsbury and Linda Leroux-Griffin of Clinton; five grandchildren, Jaimee Martin and her husband Asa Martin, Mathieu Griffin, Janelle and Michelle Leroux, and Michan Griffin and his wife Heidi Griffin; four great-grandchildren, Maela and Marley Griffin and Lyra and Ezra Martin; and two sisters, Valerie “Rita” Esip of Worcester and Lorraine Cunningham of Spencer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including, Roger and Ethel, Bonnie and Leonard, and Maureen and David and their daughter, Mikaela, with whom she spent many joyful hours, visiting and playing cards, especially Skipbo.

Yvonne was a graduate of South High School. She was a self-employed seamstress for many years. She was a gifted and skilled craftswoman who created beautiful clothing, quilts, blankets, sweaters and doll houses, among the many other things she created. She was filled with abounding energy, and rollerbladed into her 70s.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Yvonne’s family Monday March 14, from 9-10:30 a.m., at the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. A prayer service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester.
