What services does Redi Rubbish provide?
“Dumpster rentals are our main focus,” said Ron Sharleville, who started the trash removal business in 1995. “We started off with one truck and four containers, we’re now up to three trucks and 60-some containers.
“We have four sizes of dumpsters available,” holding 10, 15, 20 or 25 cubic yards.
How does the dumpster rental work?
“Normally, you pay a fee for a 10-day rental with a weight limit for each size before there is any extra charge. Then it’s $8 a day after the 10 days as long as people let me know the day before the scheduled pickup that they need an extension,” Sharleville said.
“If someone has something very heavy, like concrete or brick, we normally do a separate container just for that. I’ll work with people, maybe give them a flat rate for a container for something like that so they don’t have to worry about the weight limit, and I can take it to a place I can dump by volume instead of weight.
“Many companies will just quote a flat fee for the container, regardless of what’s in it. I can talk to people, get an idea what they need and how much it will cost. We could do a separate dumpster for metal, for example. A smaller company like us is more likely to work with customers to figure out just what they will need for a project.
“I built my business being honest with people. Nobody wants to pay more than they have to get rid of trash.”
Suppose someone does not need a whole dumpster?
“We do green bag pickups. You buy the bags, which hold three cubic yards, at Home Depot or similar stores for about $30. You fill it and pay someone to pick it up. If you have much more than three cubic yards of waste to dispose of, they aren’t cost effective. If you need a second one, you’ve already spent $60 on the bags before the expense of picking them up. The smallest dumpster is 10 cubic yards, and I charge $325 for 10 days and you can fill it up with a ton and a half. That’s usually more than enough for a house cleanout.”
What other services do you offer?
“I do in-ground oil tank removal. We’ve done lots of those and have all the equipment needed.
“We’ll demolish both above-ground and in-ground pools as well as spas, haul away the debris and fill in the hole. Once I pull a permit and remove an in-ground pool, the homeowner won’t be paying taxes on it anymore because it was properly removed.
“We also do demolitions for something substantial like a shed or a garage and haul that away.”
What geographic area do you cover?
“Worcester County for the most part, though we will discuss specific jobs outside the county. There’s a limit how far you can go to haul trash.” The company serves both residential and commercial customers.
