Shrewsbury – Christina Menzie, a 2014 graduate of Shrewsbury High School, will be changing her address for the next 18 months as she serves a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Taipei, Taiwan, area. While there she will spend her time doing charitable service and teaching the principles and doctrines of her faith in addition to lending help and support to local congregations of the Church.

Menzie entered the church’s Missionary Training Center (MTC) located in Provo, Utah, in January to prepare for her service as a missionary. While at the MTC, she is increasing her fluency in Mandarin Chinese, a language she has been studying since the sixth grade, so she can effectively communicate with the people she will serve in Taiwan. She left for Taipei March 8.

When she returns from Taiwan in June of 2017 she will resume her studies at Brigham Young University in Utah where she is currently majoring in linguistics. Menzie is the oldest child of Rebecca and Wayne Menzie.
