Boston – Contemporary Realism: Impressions by Four Boston Artists will be on exhibition through March 27 at Piano Craft Gallery, 793 Tremont St., Boston.
Westborough residents Janet Schwartz and Dave Kaphammer will be two of the artists along with Renee Caouette and Diane Reed Sawyer.
Kaphammer’s liquid reflections wobble down the sides of boats and cars. Light spills through the landscape leaving bright exclamations of color.
Schwartz’s charcoal drawings follow rhythms of light and shadow, defining form, while her streetscapes, playfully deconstructed by rain and reflected light, invite the viewer to see the world anew.
The public is invited to a Closing Party Friday, March 25, from 6-9 p.m. It is free and open to all. Light refreshments will be served and the artists will be present to discuss their work.
