Obit Leo J LavigneHudson – Leo J. Lavigne, 79, of Hudson, died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester. He was the loving husband of 57 years to the late Frances K. (Kinzie) Lavigne.

Leo was born and raised in Manchester, N.H., son of the late Alfred and Simone (Gamache) Lavigne. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a veteran of the Vietnam War until being honorably discharged in 1962.

Leo was employed by the U.S. Government in the Department of Defense as Chief of Operations, working out of the Boston Office on Sumner Street. He was a life member of the Hudson AMVETS and life member of the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans). He was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.

Leo had many interests throughout his life, but cherished spending time with his family. He always looked forward to the many pool parties at his home in Hudson, especially barbecuing for all his family and friends. He was dedicated to his country, his community and to his family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his children, Al and Lorraine of Hudson, John of Hudson, Debbie and Rick of Holliston, and Margaret and Mark of Hudson. He is also survived by his two sisters, Pauline Godfrey of New Hampshire and Irene Levesque of Florida; his six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 29, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Monday, March 28, from 6-8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
