Grafton – Robert H. Cournoyer, 75, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 after a battle with ALS. He was the husband of M. Carolyn (Dusavage) Cournoyer for 52 years.

He was born in Worcester, the son of William and Laura (Lavallee) Cournoyer.

Besides his wife he leaves four children, Tim and his fiancée Vanessa, Paul and his wife Sharon, Joellen Ampagoomian, and Danny, and eight grandchildren, Kristina, Ashley, Heather, T.J., Katie, Jack, Casey, and Matt. He also leaves three sisters and one brother, Lucille Lamoureux and her husband Paul, Pauline Morin, Phil and his wife Joan, and Jeanette Gebo and her husband Jim, and two sisters-in-law, Joan Dusavage and Eveline Cournoyer. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Mary; a brother, Bill; and a brother-in-law, Tom Morin.

Bob owned his own barbershop in Boylston for 10 years. He worked at UPS another 10 years. He then became a lawn care technician and worked in that field for 20 years, most of that time at Green Lawns Plus, now Arbor Turf of Marlborough.

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who enjoyed get-togethers with family and friends. He also enjoyed the many trips he and Carolyn took to Aruba and Las Vegas. He was a fan of the Bruins and Patriots and, until his illness, he could be seen walking the track daily at Grafton High.

All are invited to gather with Bob’s family and friends Thursday, April 14, from 4-7 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton. His funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 15, at 11 a.m., at St. Philip Church, 12 West St., Grafton. He will then be laid to rest at St. Phillip Cemetery in Grafton.
