Obit Andrew Vigeant Jr.Marlborough – Andrew “Carl” Vigeant Jr., 81, of Marlborough, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Spaulding Hospital in Cambridge. He was the beloved husband of Joanne (McNeil) Vigeant for 60 years.

Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Andrew C. and Helen R. (Kingston) Vigeant.

Mr. Vigeant was a life insurance agent for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company for 37 years. Upon his retirement from John Hancock Insurance Company, he began a second career as a school bus driver. Well-liked by the students, he thoroughly enjoyed 20 years of transporting students for the Lincoln and Sudbury school systems, as well as Assabet Valley Regional High School.

Mr. Vigeant was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish. He was a member of the Hudson BPOE and a past member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Italian American Club, the American Legion, and the Immaculate Conception/St. Matthias Bowling League.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Karl and his wife Debra, Kenneth and his wife Marjorie, Michael and his wife Patti, Deborah Lazazzero and her husband Paul, Linda Alamshah and her husband Robert, and Steven and his wife Lori; his grandchildren, Kenneth Vigeant Jr. and his partner Iwona Aleksandrowicz, Danielle Vigeant and her partner Chris Oldham, Kristi Krebs and her husband Ray, Andrew Vigeant III and his wife Maria, Steven Lazazzero, Sherry Lazazzero, Aubrey Alamshah, Robby Alamshah, Connor Vigeant, Sean Vigeant, and Ryan Vigeant; and his great- grandchildren, Gabrielle Pietri, Dominic Oldham, and Maximus Vigeant.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, April 17, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 18, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough.

Burial will be private.
