Westborough – The Rotary Club of Westborough is proud to present the 14th annual Westborough Spring Festival (WSF) Friday, May 6 to Sunday, May 8. This town-wide, family event is possible through close partnership with town officials, schools, business sponsors, nonprofit organizations and individual community members. The Rotary Club would like to extend deep gratitude to our sponsors, without whom this fantastic community weekend would not be possible!

WSF is a great opportunity to spend your weekend with family and friends in your community.  Mark your calendar and join us for a fun-filled weekend.

WSF kicks off on Friday night with the second annual “Red, White & Brew” at the Knights of Columbus. Support our local veterans while enjoying live entertainment by Acoustic Nation, craft beer tastings, food and fellowship!

Saturday’s (May 7) events start early and are concentrated in two locations, Minuteman Park and Bay State Commons. Cast your line and test your skills at the Civic Club’s Fishing Challenge. At Bay State Commons enjoy a full day of fresh air and fun activities for all ages. Join the fun and hear live music performances by a variety of artists. Enjoy a host of events for kids, tweens and teens – the Carnival, hosted by our own WHS students, the Roaming Railroad and Slot Cars, free bike helmet fitting and giveaway and a family friendly bike ride. What’s a great day without wonderful food & refreshments? Bring your appetite and enjoy the Rotary Grill, the Food Expo and more.

The fun continues on Saturday as the sun sets. Enjoy a dinner at the Lions Club 22nd annual Italian dinner at WHS. Make it a family event. Bring friends and make new ones at this great community gathering. Immediately following the dinner the entertainment kicks into high gear with the Westborough Town Variety Show, hosted by the Westborough Woman’s Club.

On Sunday, May 8 get ready, get set and go to WSF to celebrate Mother’s Day with the entire family, including the dog!  Activities take place throughout town and offer something for everyone.  Runners, joggers, walkers, start your morning at the 14th annual 5K Road Race and the 4th Annual Kids Dash at WHS.  Head east on Main Street to enjoy the Car and Military Show. There you’ll enjoy 50s and 60s music, food and a fantastic array of antique and modern cars, military vehicles and more.

Join us at Bay State Commons for a ton of fun and a variety of new events and old favorites for everyone. Bring your dog and walk, trot or run in the Doggie Dash. Is your pooch more the show type? Treat him to a bath at the doggie spa then enter him in the amateur dog show sponsored by Tufts Veterinary students. Watch the Massachusetts State Police K9 unit demonstrate their skills, and enjoy tethered balloon rides by RE/Max. Commemorate this Mother’s Day with a picture in the family photo booth. Treat mom to delicious treats at the Food Truck Festival and enjoy the Roaming Railroad, slot cars, great music and more!

More detailed event descriptions are located throughout the booklet that has been distributed throughout the town and www.westboroughrotary.org/spring-festival.
