Grafton – The town of Grafton will receive just over $500,000 this year in state funds to help repair pot holes, resurface roads and conduct other infrastructure repairs.
The funding was included as part of a $200 million Chapter 90 bond authorization approved by the House of Representatives on March 30.
The so-called Chapter 90 funds are allocated to towns and cities from the state using a formula based on the weighted average of a municipality’s population, employment, and total road miles. Funds can also be used for such things as bikeways, landscaping and tree planting, and for certain road building machinery, equipment and tools
