Hudson – Maria F. Sousa, 57, of Hudson, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at Marlborough Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Antonio L. Sousa and loving mother to Stephanie Sousa of Hudson.
Maria was born in Terceira, the Azores, daughter of the late Jose M. and Jesuina (Santos) Luz. She was a resident of Hudson for 40 years and took great pride in her home and raising her family.
She was employed by Four Star Manufacturing in Hudson for the past six years as an assembler.
Maria enjoyed family trips and, most of all, visiting and spending time with her family. She took a lot of pride in her cooking, and loved making traditional Portuguese foods and desserts. In her spare time, she had many hobbies, but, most of all, she enjoyed doing a lot of crocheting. Everyone who knew Maria knew that her favorite color was purple.
Family and friends may attend calling hours Friday, April 22, from 4-8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, (www.tighehamilton.com). A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 23, at 9 a.m., in St. Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson.
