Westborough – Tom Brady. David Ortiz. Bobby Orr. Larry Bird. Ted Williams. Rob Gronkowski. Paul Pierce. Bill Russell. Rocky Marciano. Malcom Butler.
These are some of the legendary Boston athletes whose memorabilia will be available at the seventh annual Tiana Angelique Notice Hockey Tournament Saturday, April 23 in Westborough.
The charity event will take place from 1-9 p.m. at the NorthStar Hockey Rink at 15 Bridle Lane in Westborough.
Proceeds from the hockey tournament will benefit the Tiana Angelique Notice Scholarship Foundation, which annually awards grants to deserving college students whose parent is a corrections officer or public servant in Massachusetts.
The event—which is open to the public—honors the memory of Tiana Angelique Notice, the daughter of event organizer Alvin Notice, who was murdered by an ex-boyfriend on Valentine’s Day in 2009. Her killer was convicted of first degree murder in 2013 and sentenced without parole to 60 years in prison.
The hockey tournament features 10 teams comprised of corrections, police and firefighter personnel from across the state, as well as Tiana’s brothers Tyrone and Tyrrell Notice.
A $10 donation is requested at the event, which will feature raffles and silent auctions throughout the day for numerous framed and unframed sports and celebrity photos.
