Region – Low voter turnout was reported as three local towns held their annual town elections May 9.
In Southborough, there were two contested races. Stephen Morreale received 493 votes to win the position of moderator defeating Desiree Aselbekian who received 182 votes and William J. Boland, who received 161 votes. Meme Lutrell defeated Craig Nicholson, 561-272, for a seat on the Planning Board.
In Hudson, there were also only two contested races. Incumbent John Scichilone defeated Willie Banks 255-78 for the position of constable and incumbent Ethan Mikula defeated Christine DiMare, 177-158, for the seat on the Housing Authority.
In Northborough, there were no contested races. Keith R. Lebel will join the Northborough School Committee after a successful write-in campaign.
