Shrewsbury – At their May 10 meeting, the Board of Selectmen congratulated selectmen John Lebeaux and Moira Miller upon their reelection and then reorganized for the coming year.
Maurice DePalo was elected as chair, James Kane as vice chair, and Lebeaux as clerk.
Eight members of the Grafton Retirement Board and Finance Committee then gave a long, complex presentation to the selectmen regarding current plans to ensure funding for retired Grafton personnel. The plan uses 2022 as the goal date for fully funding the retirement system.
After approving several other uncontested issues, the selectmen delayed acting upon a report regarding neighborhood noise complaints about Charles River Laboratories pending receipt of complete information.
