Verizon employees continue to picket in Westborough

    verizon 1Westborough – Approximately 120 men and women on strike against Verizon showed up at 6 a.m. May 13 to voice their displeasure after one of their union brothers was struck the prior day by a vehicle being driven by a replacement worker at the picket line located at the Extended Stay America hotel on East Main St.  in Westborough.   The replacement worker was arrested at the scene for DUI forth offense.

    Striking Verizon workers showed up from 5 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) locals – IBEW Local 2325 Worcester; IBEW Local 2321 North Andover; IBEW Local 2322 Middleboro; IBEW Local 2222 Boston; and IBEW Local 2323 Rhode Island.
