Marlborough – Over the past several years, the city of Marlborough has proven that it is ready to face the challenges of a new economy. After Fidelity Investments moved its regional facility out of the city in 2012, many wondered how the city would absorb such a major loss. But led by Mayor Arthur Vigeant, the City Council and the Marlborough Economic Development Corporation, Marlborough has successfully attracted major companies to relocate or expand in the city including TJX, Boston Scientific and Quest Diagnostics.
Recently those efforts were recognized by the Boston Globe which named Marlborough as one of its 46 innovators on its 2016 “Game Changer” list. The city was the only community in the state that was named to the list.
