Westborough – Water lovers of all ages beat the heat and humidity May 28 by attending the opening day of a new outdoor aquatics center at the Boroughs Family Branch YMCA in Westborough. The 14,000-square-foot space includes a large L-shaped swimming pool, a splash pad with fountains and play areas, and a pool house with restrooms.
The aquatics center was part of an approximately $4 million construction project, which also included about a 4,000-square-foot addition to the existing building. A capital campaign funded the construction project.
