Westborough – The Westborough Garden Club Scholarship Committee recently awarded the winner of their $1,000 scholarship at their annual plant sale. This year’s recipient is Caroline Reynolds, a senior at Westborough High School (WHS). Caroline has been active in the Environmental Club for four years, currently serving as president. She volunteers at the Heirloom Harvest Organic Farm in Westborough, which promotes sustainable gardening and buying locally grown produce.
Caroline can also be found weeding and watering at the WHS organic community garden. She has played an active role in Terracyle, a group that takes traditionally non-recyclable items such as Ziploc bags, juice pouches and chip bags and creates new, innovative products out of them.
Caroline will be attending the University of Vermont majoring in environmental science.
