Northborough – John and Kathleen Polanowicz of Northborough have announced that they are celebrating the recent graduations of their two children, Emily and Daniel.
Emily was awarded a bachelor of arts in applied psychology and human development with a minor in environmental studies at the 140th Commencement of Boston College May 23.
Emily is a graduate of Algonquin Regional High School. At Boston College, she was the president and treasurer of the Boston College Women’s Rugby Football Club and played in the Boston College Symphonic Band. She participated in multiple community service trips with the Boston College Appalachia Volunteers. Emily was employed as a special assistant to the athletic director for four years and will be attending Belmont University in Nashville, pursing her masters in Sport Administration.
Daniel graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point May 21.
He is also a graduate of Algonquin Regional High School and attended Loyola University in Maryland prior to applying to West Point. While at West Point, he concentrated his studies in American politics. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Infantry branch.
