Hudson – With a new branch located at 186 Main St., Marlborough Savings Bank (MSB) has joined the revitalization of Hudson’s downtown business community.
Town leaders and other members of the local business community joined bank officials June 24 for the grand opening of the new branch.
“We are thrilled to be here in downtown Hudson,” Rick Bennett, MSB’s president and CEO, said at the ceremony. “This is definitely going to be a home run for us.
“And it’s exciting seeing this downtown really come alive,” he added.
“We are so glad to have you here – you are one more jewel in the [downtown] crown,” said State Rep. Kate Hogan (D-Stow).
State Sen. Jamie Eldridge (D-Acton) also was present to offer not only his best wishes but also those of the state legislature.
“It is great to see Marlborough Savings Bank here in Hudson,” he said to Bennett as he presented him with a proclamation for the legislature. “Congratulations to you and your excellent staff.
“And congratulations to Hudson, too, on getting a great business,” he added.
Hudson Selectman John Parent echoed the sentiments of the state officials, noting that MSB was a “tremendous addition to the downtown area.”
