Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Garden Club encourages students residing in Shrewsbury, pursuing a course of study in agriculture, horticulture, environmental science, or a related field, with annual scholarships. Recently, the club awarded John Lindsay a $1000 scholarship to help with finishing his degree from McGill University in Montreal in Environmental Science.
Lindsay’s emphasis centers on sustainability in food service, food system
sustainability projects, collective kitchens and urban agriculture.
“All my efforts go toward how we as individuals produce and interact with our food,” he said.
