Obit Steven M CzekalskiNorthbridge – Steven M. Czekalski, 34, died Sunday, June 26, 2016 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home after a period of declining health due to complications from cystic fibrosis.

Steven leaves his wife of nine years, Chelsea L. (Simpson) Czekalski. He is also survived by his parents, Martin and Aurelia (Rossovich) Czekalski, and brother Michael, all of Northborough, and his grandmother, Giulia Rossovich of Tenefly, N.J.

Steven was born Aug. 24, 1981 in Annapolis, Md. He grew up in Northborough and graduated with the class of 2000 from Algonquin High School. He continued his studies at Johnson and Wales University, earning his bachelor’s degree in 2005. He married Chelsea on April 28, 2007 in Columbia, Md.

He worked for many years in the food service industry, most recently at IHop in Northborough. In December 2012, Steven became a 3rd Degree Mason, with the United Brethren Lodge in Marlborough. He was chairman of the Blood Drive Committee for the past six years.

A memorial celebration, followed by fellowship, will be held Saturday, July 16, at 11 a.m., at the United Brethren Masonic Lodge, 8 Newton St., Marlborough. Steven treasured life and wished that his life be celebrated and not mourned, therefore please wear color. Steven’s favorite color was Baltimore Raven’s Purple.
