Shrewsbury – Joey Jamros, a resident of Shrewsbury, was signed by the New England Revolution as one of 13 Special Olympics athletes and Unified Partners that played in a Unified Match against a team from Special Olympics New York held on July 6 at Gillette Stadium before the Revs home game against New York City FC.
The New England Revolution and Special Olympics Massachusetts, in partnership with MLS WORKS, are joining together this summer for a series of events uniting professional soccer players and athletes with intellectual disabilities. The events are headlined by the second annual charity bowling event, Bowl for a Goal presented by Arbella Insurance on Tuesday, Aug. 16 where Revs celebrities and Special Olympians will share the lanes at Splitsville in Patriot Place.
