Marlborough – Marlborough High School has partnered with gphomestay to bring international students to the school for the 2016-2017 school year. The school is currently looking for Marlborough families that are interested in hosting. The ideal host family will have a student attending Marlborough High School for the 2016-2017 school year, will primarily speak English at home and has time in their schedule to interact and share their American and family culture with the student.
The host family will need to provide three meals a day; a private furnished room; transportation to and from school; and a safe, nurturing environment. A stipend of $1,000 per month for the academic year will be provided to offset the costs of hosting. Families of all types, ethnicities, backgrounds and sizes are welcome.
Gphomestay provides ongoing support during a student’s stay including 24/7 access to a support services coordinator, a conflict resolution team, respite care for family vacations and emergency situations, umbrella insurance for host families, medical insurance for all students, quarterly residential check-ins and local staff in the community.
