Obit Robert P. Colleton SrHudson – Robert P. Colleton Sr., 55, of Hudson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and friends, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his residence. He was the wonderful and adoring husband of Mary (Bradstreet) Colleton of Hudson, and was the beloved husband of the late Christina T. (Rossi) Colleton, who passed away in 2009.

Robert was one of four children born in Marlborough to the late Donald Colleton, and is survived by his loving mother, Carole E. Colleton of Marlborough. He was raised in Hudson, where he attended local schools. He owned and operated Countryside Towing of Hudson for the past 23 years.

Besides the day-to-day management of his business, Robert enjoyed traveling, the sun, the beach, trips to Mohegan Sun and Las Vegas, baby. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family, especially with his adoring grandchildren. He always looked forward to entertaining at his “Sunday Cookouts” with family and friends. He will be remembered by all who loved and knew him as someone who lived his life to the fullest; was always the life of the party and for his kind and loving spirit.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Robert P. Colleton Jr. and his wife Candice of Clinton, Philip A. Colleton and his wife Shannon of Worcester, Angela Trottier and her husband Ian of Hudson, and his step-son, Shane Bradstreet and his significant other Kelly Schofield of Boylston. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Braydon, Christina, Keira, Ethan, Nickolas and Chloe; his brother, Donald Colleton of Marlborough; his sister, Lisa Colleton of Marlborough; and his mothers-in-law, Daisy Bradstreet of Beverly and Elizabeth (Easterbrook) Roynane of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, along with his many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many, many loyal friends. He was the brother of the late David Colleton.

He was a member of the Hudson Eagles, the Hudson AMVETS, and the Marlboro Moose Lodge.

A funeral service and celebration of Robert’s life will be held Saturday, July 30, at 11 a.m., in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial services will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery of Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Friday, July 29, from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
